A green screen is a special effects/post-production technique for compositing two
images or video streams together based on colour hues.it works by using a ultra-key on
adobe premiere CC by choosing the colour of the background. Or on other
programs it is called a Chroma key compositing, or Chroma keying,
Firstly we was given a project based on green
screen where we had to create a video 30-45 seconds whilst changing the
background in the videos and adding special effects, I created a proposal on my
idea which was me being the actor in front of the green screen and every time I
clap my hands there is a shock wave which teleports me to a different location
changing the background. My Idea was having 3 locations one of them being on a
busy street, then the second one on a beach, the third one in a cold area such
as (mountains) and finally the last scene would be me returning back to the
first location. On the day of recording I brought in four props,
Sunglasses, coat and a scarf, and hoody, I then acted out each scene in-front
of the camera whilst Shaun recorded
After recording I went on to Youtube and started to search for animated backgrounds that I could use for each scene of my video I searched for a shot of a busy street in the city, one place such as a beach or a tropical island and the last one being a cold area such as snowy mountains after finding the videos that I liked I downloaded them using a Youtube to mp4 converter website.
I imported the videos onto adobe premiere CC and dragged them onto the timeline in chronological order, after that I then went into the effects section menu and went to the keying section adding the ultra key to change the green screen background I done this by choosing the green colour. After that I went onto Youtube and found a suitable shockwave effect that I could use in order to pursue the magical effects onto the teleport clap, I then downloaded the video clip on a Youtube to mp4 website and dragged the file onto the timeline on Adobe premiere and then I added a Luma key in order to remove the black background on my clip this made it look more professional and I could move the shockwave around with the anchor point
When adding sound I went to Youtubetomp3.org and I chose three different suitable sounds for each scene of my video I done this by converting the videos to sound on the website after that I then imported the sound files by dragging them onto the timeline in order I altered the sound levels by right clicking on the sound and going on to audio gain and setting the gain to my liking . Furthermore when adding text I created text In Photoshop CC I saved it as a PNG file and dragged it onto my video (I moved it by using the anchor point) I called my video ‘’Teleport Wave’’ I came up with this idea because I teleport to different locations and the wave connotes the clapping I do in the video.
What I liked about
this project was working alone on everything such as editing and downloading
sounds, also using the youtubetomp3.org converter website, because it has
taught me how to convert videos/sounds to mp3 files easier, I enjoyed being an
actor as well it has made me more confident. What I could improve on my
green-screen is adding animations such as snow or rain to add different effect
to different scenes.
You can see all of my
stages of editing on my blogs.
Proposal
Proposal
For one of my ideas I want to act and I want the story-line to be, me jumping to different places in front of a green screen and a camera, Jumping on places such as on-top of a building then next jump on top of a mountain and jump to different places, I believe this idea would be good because I will be changing the green screen background every-time I jump somewhere all the places would be miles away from each other I believed this task would be a bit difficult to accomplish because of the timing of the jumps and making the jumps look realistic when teleporting then after this Idea I thought of another one.
The second Idea was similar to the first one a little this Idea was me acting and every-time I clap my hands I would go to a different location such as a sunny place, and I then would wear sunglasses, and then when I clap my hands again I would go to a cold place and then I would wear a coat and a scarf, This idea Is good because when editing I can use background that move this will make it more realistic also I can add effects onto the clap such as a shock wave effect and I could ad different noises/sound to my video (if its on a beach wave noises).
When recording I would have to bring in props such as Sunglasses and a coat/winter wear to act out each place I go to, this will be more realistic and suitable for the locations I go to. During this Idea we knew the video had to be 30-45 seconds so I want the video to have 3 different main locations and I want them each to be around 10 seconds long, the first location would be on a busy street, the second would be in a sunny location such as the beach, the third location would be somewhere cold maybe on a cold mountain, and for the last one I would want the actor (me) to return to the first location from where I started.
Furthermore I will find the backgrounds from youtube and then convert them and add them onto my video, by using http://youtubeinmp4.com/ this website is very helpful it downloads any video to my hard-drive that is why I'm using it because its an easy way of downloading.
In conclusion I believe the second Idea would be successful because it is simplistic and interesting for our project I would also like to experiment with editing techniques when editing this idea.

Export and adding sound
I then imported the sound files and added them onto my timeline to fit each section furthermore i double checked to see if all the sound fitted with the video .

Exporting
When exporting it I firstly went to file export - media

I then selected H.264 this was to get the highest possible quality as I could and then I matched the bit rate

After that was selected I pressed queue and this started to export the file

After the bar was completed I successfully exported the file onto my hard-drive this was a simple and easy process

Editing text
Editing Text
Firstly when Editing text I created the text in Photoshop, I then saved it as a PNG file and dragged it onto my Video, After that , I scaled the texts to the size I want by using the scale tool in the Effects control menu, then I moved the text by using the anchor point tools

Green screen editing process
Firstly I gathered all of my clips that I was going to use and i dragged them onto the timeline. in chronological order, this helped me because I knew what to do step by step

Then I went into the effects section menu and went to the keying section adding the ultra key to change the green screen background by choosing the green colour on the screen.

Furthermore I then added a Luma key in order to add the shock - effect as you can see below For this I dragged the Luma key onto the shock - effect video
Furthermore I moved the shock - effect to my liking so its not in the center and is closer to my hand so it looks more professional to do this I moved the anchor point in the effect controls
